Beth McMullen is the author of the Mrs. Smith’s Spy School for Girls (Aladdin/S&S) series as well as the forthcoming Lola Benko, Treasure Hunter (Aladdin/S&S) series! Her third middle grade series, Cats & Dragons, arrives in March 2021. Her books have heroes and bad guys, action and messy situations. An avid reader, she once missed her subway stop and rode the train all the way to Brooklyn because the book she was reading was that good. Beth McMullen graduated from Boston University with a degree in English Literature. After landing a gig with Reader's Digest, she eventually realized she'd rather write books than condense them. Beth lives in Northern California with her husband, kids, cats and a very tolerant parakeet named Zeus.
